Toyota Australia congratulates Ruth Allen, recipient of the $10,000 Toyota Community Spirit Artist Travel Award 2006
Ruth Allen was the inaugural winner of the Toyota Community Spirit Artist Travel Award in 2006. She is a Melbourne based multi-media installation artist whose principle medium is glass.
She completed her project in 2007 and this consisted of a successful exhibition at Chapel Gallery in New York, teaching workshops in Canada and a tour through Europe and Asia pursuing opportunities for international representation.
The Toyota Community Spirit Artist Travel Award project is mounted in consultation with the Australia Business Arts Foundation, Contemporary Sculptors Association, Hobsons Bay City Council and the City of Port Phillip.
